Siva Prasad Jena is a illustrious teacher in mathematics, who always
stood in the 10th position right through his academic career. He
started his schooling in Aradi Minor School (the famous place for Shiva Temple
called Akhandalamani). Then he went to Dakha High School, Chandbali, and joined
Bhadrak College. Due to his physical problems, he had to sacrifice Ravenshaw
College and his 1st important career as Bank P.O in State Bank of
India. He married to Smt.
Ratnamani Jena, daughter of Banamali Nayak of Singhagaon.
Siva Prasad Jena was born in the village Sihopada in the Rajkanika
Tehsil of undivided Cuttack District (now Kendrapara District). His father
Chaitanya Charan Jena and mother Taramani Jena had actually sacrificed a lot in
the life of their only son Siva Prasad. His father Chaitanya Charan was a very
kind heated and a spiritual character. He used to serve to the pilgrims
visiting Akhandalamani. He would take care of their food & shelter free of
cost and everyone in that region knew this. With much difficulty, he used to walk miles, as there were
no roads and transportation in sending his son Siva Prasad to School. And his
efforts brought in flying colours when Siva Prasad secured position in his
school and colleges. The village Sihopada built its reputation because of Siva
Prasad. Both father and son are considered as icons and inspired many people in
that region.
Siva Prasad sacrificing all other career options behind joined as a
teacher and got high degree of reputation in the academic circle. He spent many
years in R. N. High School, Rajkanika, and worked as Head Master in B.B. High
School, Kujanga, Rambagh High School, Jajpur, and Jajpur Town High School,
Jajpur. He is known for his wonderful teaching abilities in general and is
renowned as a teacher of mathematics.
