The Asa Waters Mansion was the home of Asa Waters II and his wife Susan Holman Waters. Asa Waters and his brother Elijah made their fortune as arms manufacturers, building an armory on the Blackstone River.
The Mansion was designed by Asher Benjamin (1773-1845) and was constructed between 1826 and 1829. The Blackstone Valley National Heritage Corridor Commission calls this "the finest example of Georgian Colonial style in the country."
