These four panels of stained glass come from the church of the Franciscan convent at Ormes-et-Ville, near Nancy, capital of Lorraine. Gérard de Haraucourt had founded the convent's chapel in 1472; however it was only built in 1527, soon after which his heir, Hesse de Linange (or Leiningen), marked the occasion with these windows.
