Obituary of Joe Scarbrough's dad, George Scarborough Sr., born March 30, 1934 in Lexington, KY. Son of George Buskie and Ada Wheat Buskie. The Scarborough's founded the Miss American Coed Pageant in 1983 with Mary Jo Scarborough's sister Caroyn Hawkins. George spent early years in Miami, FL and Sand Diego, CA. Moved to Milton, FL in 1946 when his family was transferred to Whiting Field. In 1978 Moved to Pensacola, FL and "began working with Mary Jo" his wife who was director for the Miss National Teenage pageant. The teen pageants the Scarborough's ran became one of the largest in the United States.
