These are Flyers and Documents from the Third Place Anarchist Youth Center. Based in Venice Florida from 1996-1999. The Third Place was an important component of the Youth Liberation Movement in Florida. The Youth Center was a reaction to the right wing oppression. The Third place as a collective of Anarchists, Riot Grrrls, and the LGBTQ. Hosting many concerts including radical bands from around the country. The Third Place accomplished their mission providing a "third place" for the youth to freely organize and express themselves. The center also contained the largest Zine library in South Florida. including a library of Banned Books. Second to its sister center the CMC in Gainesville. The Third Place was awarded several grants from Sarasota County, The City of Venice Florida, and several other public organizations.
