Indeed, We gave Moses the Book and sent after him successive messengers. And We gave Jesus, son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the holy spirit. Why is it that every time a messenger comes to you \u02f9Israelites\u02fa with something you do not like, you become arrogant, rejecting some and killing others?

We have chosen some of those messengers above others. Allah spoke directly to some, and raised some high in rank. To Jesus, son of Mary, We gave clear proofs and supported him with the holy spirit. If Allah had willed, succeeding generations would not have fought \u02f9among themselves\u02fa after receiving the clear proofs. But they differed\u2014some believed while others disbelieved. Yet if Allah had willed, they would not have fought one another. But Allah does what He wills.

What does the Quran say about Jesus?

According to Quran Jesus Christ is :

-1- human

-2- great prophet

-3- pure son of virgin Mary (Quran 19:16-21)

-4- not divine

-5- The Quran teaches that Jesus is a true Messenger and Prophet of God sent to the children of Israel.

-6- He was born by the command of God to virgin Mary.

-7- He preached the gospel and the oneness of God.

-8- He led a righteous life and was kind to his mother.

-9- He never claimed to be God reincarnate or God in human flesh.

-10- He is not the son of God but His creature.

-11- He was neither killed nor crucified. God protected him from his enemies and raised him in honour and before his departure from the world he prophesied the coming of Muhammad the last and final Messenger of God.

-12- He is mentioned in the Quran a total of 25 times by name.

-13- His full name given in the Quran is Al Maseeh Isa Ibn Maryam or The Messiah, Jesus Christ, the son of Mary.

-14- Belief in Jesus is an article of faith in Islam. No Muslim is a Muslim unless he believes in Jesus.

-15- He performed miracles (speaking as a baby, making a clay bird alive, healing the blind and the lepers, etc.)

-16- He will return back from the heavenly realm to ours at the end times.

Jesus Christ is described in the Quran as Pure Son (Quran 19:16-21) and his mother Mary mentioned as the chosen woman of the world (Quran 3:42-44) and Allah has chosen her as the best of the women of this world. In fact, Mary is the only woman mentioned by her name in the Entire Quran.

Why did God send prophets and messengers to people?

Straight to the point After the creation of Adam, just one original message has been repeatedly delivered to mankind throughout the history of humanity. Thus, to remind people about it and bring them back on track, many prophets and messengers including Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad were sent by the only true God to convey this message:

Adam > God is One

Noah > God is One

Abraham > God is One

Moses > God is One

Jesus > God is One

Muhammad > God is One

God sent these major prophets as well as many other prophets and messengers to accomplish several tasks and missions, some of which are:

1) To receive guidance from God and deliver it to people.

2) To convey the message that God is One.

3) To be role models to their people.

4) To instruct their people to fear God and keep His commandments.

5) To teach their followers important religious and moral tenets and worldly matters.

6) To guide those who deviated, disobeyed God, or worshipped other gods or idols.

7) To tell people about their final destination (the Last Day) and what leads to Paradise or Hellfire.

It is the same God who created and sent those prophets and messengers. He is the Creator of all humans, all animals, and all objects. It is this ONE TRUE GOD who created the whole universe (including nature) and all it contains. He is the Creator of life, death, and life after death. The Oneness of this true God, the Creator, is clearly evident and easily traceable in the holy scriptures of the Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others.

God sent messengers to guide people. Some of these messengers include Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and Muhammad, peace be upon all of them. They all taught a consistent message about God by affirming His greatness as the Creator and guiding people to worship Him alone.

the core Message of all the honorable Prophets and Messengers of God is : worship the Creator ALONE. all of them preached the same message :

1. worship the ONE God

2. follow his commandments

3. do good

4. stay away from evil.. etc

Many Prophets > One Message > God is ONE.

the Oneness of God from the Torah, Gospel and the Quran :

\u2013 Moses : \u201c God is one Lord.\u201d ( Deuteronomy 6:4 )

\u2013 Jesus Christ : \u201c our God is one Lord.\u201d ( Mark 12:29 )

\u2013 Muhammad : \u201c your God is One God \u201c ( Quran 2:163 )

Prophets are Brothers

\u201c Both in this world and in the Hereafter, I am the nearest of all the people to Jesus, the son of Mary. The prophets are paternal brothers; their mothers are different, but their religion is one.\u201d

i will conclude with this verse from Quran 3:79 :

( No person to whom God has given the Scripture, and wisdom, and prophethood would ever say to the people, 'Be my worshipers rather than God's.' Rather, 'Be people of the Lord, according to the Scripture you teach, and the teachings you learn.' )

This means, it is not for a person/prophet/messenger whom God has given the Book/scripture, knowledge in the Law and prophethood to proclaim to the people, "Worship me instead of God,''. On the contrary, the Messenger recommends the people to worship God.
