This is a training dataset for indoor localization task. The dataset contains multi-view images for 214 locations within a large lab. For each location, we collect images from four different views (directions), i.e., the front view, the right view, the behind view and the left view, in a clockwise order. For each view of a location, the number of images taken is usually 2 or 3. As such, there are usually 8--12 images for each location. The image files are named in âlocationID_imageNumber.jpgâ manner. For example, file â101_00002.jpgâ means it is the second image taken in the location #101. The files named â***_*****_thumb.jpgâ are network generated files, please ignore them. One can use multi-view images to perform indoor localization. As an alternative, one can also incorporate images with magnetic signals for indoor localization. âmag_train.xlsxâ file records the magnetic signals for the 214 locations of the lab. The six columns of the xlsx file are (1) average value of magnitude, (2) mode of magnitude, (3) variance of magnitude, (4) minimum value of magnitude\t, (5) maximum value of magnitude, and (6) location ID. Magnitude is the 2-norm of the smartphone captured 3-D magnetic signal (i.e., 2-norm of the 3D vector).
