Efthimiou Richardson High School Graduate Gets Drafted To The Dallas Sidekicks
Efthimiou was called up to the senior indoor Soccer Bowl in 1990 and was drafted by the Dallas Sidekicks in the fourth round (thirty-first overall) of the Major Indoor Soccer League draft.He later signed with the Dallas Sidekicks as a free agent in 1993 and played until 1999 winning two championships.
After college, he played for FC Dallas in the Lone Star Soccer Alliance and won the LSSA championship. Efthimiou also won the championship with the Austin Thunder and signed with the Dallas Sidekicks as a free agent in 1993. Efthimiou played with team mates such as Rusty Troy,Corey Hooper and Chuck Salas.
Efthimiou also signed with the Garland Genesis of the Southwest Indoor Soccer League in 1986. Efthimiou scored 17 goals and 25 assists and went on to win the championship with the Garland Genesis.Efthimiou moved to the Canton Invaders of the American Indoor Soccer Association. In
his three seasons with the Invaders, he helped the team win three consecutive AISA championships.
