Miscellaneous photographs of the Holyoke Street Railway in its final years as a trolley service. Rights for these images have not been evaluated. The initials C.H. appear on one image, C. D. is used in the images of some of the others, however the photographer is unknown.Included are-
-Passenger car #176 at the corners of Dwight and Race Street. Behind it is the Whiting Paper Mill #2 which stood where the parking lot across from the Wauregan is today. In the right background a rare shot of a former station for the street railway is visible. Accounts I have seen on Facebook from older residents indicate the building also housed a news stand and possibly a small to-go luncheon at one time. Take a month before the last cars left service, August 6, 1937.
-Plow car #3, which appears at the corners of Canal and North Bridge Street, the garage to the right of it being where the parking lot of Amadeo's Restaurant is as of 2020. Taken November 18, 1934.
-Street sweeper car #9, at an unknown location likely in the Flats in front of billboards by the Springfield Advertising Company. Taken November 16, 1934.
