Husband slaps his hands in excitement and says, "Columbo is on in 10 minutes, oh yeah."

Wife replies as she looks at him sternly, "No, we are going to watch Murder, She Wrote."

"Like hell, just one more thing\u2026 uh no. Angela Lansbury can go write a book about your disappointment."

"And Peter Falk can go fu\u2026."

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," the Husband holds out his hands, "Himself would not like that, Columbo is very sensitive, you know."

"So can we watch my show?"

"Sure, when hell freezes over."

Grandma in the kitchen cries out, "I wanna watch Perry Mason. Those programs in color hurt my eyes."

Grandpa bellows from the bathroom, "Barnaby Jones, woman. I'm gonna miss the first five minutes\u2026. them baked beans are working me."

Both husband and wife yell out, "No!!!"

Husband points his finger, "Lieutenant Columbo."

Wife points her finger, "Jessica Fletcher."

The Son comes into the living room and says, "Hey, I have to watch the Simpsons tonight. Bart is so gonna jump the gorge with his skateboard, it is going to be\u2026 wait for it\u2026 legendary. It's only half an hour. You'll miss the murder in the beginning, but so what, it's no big deal, right? You can use your imagination."

Husband and Wife turn to the Son and yell at the same time, "You're grounded, go to your room!!!"

And that is the reason why all households now-a-days have a television set in each room.
