Gorgeous she was in a world of life and wonder. Beautiful as the days of youth that went asunder. She who strived to stay alive yet aged gracefully had known more knowledge than any other knew too well.
Like a timeless spell bound by decade towards and into century she saw birth and death. What once was a breath of fresh air was now a gasp for despair.
In days of yore, she who had danced through grass and splendor with lovely blonde hair flowing in the gentle wind, now grey haired, walked slowly on tired bones in darkening storms.
Yet warm within her heart, she who has seen sun and moon arise and shine as time went and still goes by. In divine infinity she looks to the cloudy sky and sees signs of serenity from above.
Doves may fly and crows may cry, and yet whether black or white or grey there will come a day when we all meet our maker, our great creator. Taken through the vessel within us into another realm of rapture when darkness comes we see the light.
She who yearns to see the light that is so bright with love and adoring care. An old husband awaits, a son lost from war, a daughter gone from cancer, even brothers and sisters, long lost parents, and so forth the family tree itself.
Still she herself must tell her story and all it's hundred years of happiness and glory to the grandchildren and great-grandchildren before her as her last days come to pass.
And alas when she closes her tired dreary eyes one last time she will open them again, not old in body, but young in spirit.
Only to be surrounded by long lost love in another world above. She who had lived will live again, her spirit will soar like never before through the clouds so high. Forever she will fly and no more will she cry.
