Symphony No. 9 in D minor by Anton Bruckner (1824-1896). The Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Herbert von Karajan (1908-1989). This symphony by Bruckner was unfinished at his death, but was still the most original and far-reaching of his works. The particularly informative liner notes were authored by the British composer Robert Simpson. Recorded in 1966.
