Bounder-Fox AKA Tom Bates was one of the furry artists who posted on the VCL between 1997 through 2001. His alias was easily confused with Bounder J. Fox, but they were different artists. He later started using the name Tom Bates.

This archive contains many additional pictures that are not present in the Internet Wayback Machine archive of VCL from April 2001 (its earliest snapshot.) It seemed like many of his pictures were deleted from the VCL in early 2001.

I discovered his artwork there sometime during 2000 while he was still posting. Back then I sorted and renamed all of the pictures I downloaded. Being a 17 year old with Photoshop, I also created modified versions of some of the pictures, adding flat-colors or cutting out certain characters. I also converted a few of his full-color pictures from GIF to JPEG. Most of the JPEG images are not the original files.

I have attempted to restore the filenames and creation dates in this collection based on the VLC archive, but only a few pictures could be fixed based on the very limited information available now. Therefore most of the creation dates inaccurately read March 31, 2000 which is the date when I downloaded them. I have also indicated which images were altered by adding notes to their filenames.
