Win 8/8.1 USERS:
Unfortunately, the Chrome Store doesn’t allow you to download NPAPI plugins for Windows 8/8.1. Don’t worry, you can just download and install it from here [2].

NOTICE: Because the plugin runs outside the “sandbox”, the Chrome store gives you a really scary warning about permissions. Actually, the plugin only needs permissions to access your serial/usb devices.
