\t\tI never used a nightlight as a kid.

\t\tMaybe it would have helped?

Panel 3:

\t\tI used to have these nightmares every night\u2026

Panel 4:

\t\tI\u2019m always running away from something, some enormous
\t\tmonster made out of shadows and teeth, and worse, I can\u2019t
\t\ttell anyone or they\u2019ll get eaten too.

Panel 5:

\t\tI\u2019m hiding, but I can\u2019t let anyone notice that I\u2019m hiding.
\t\tI\u2019m all alone on this one.

Panel 6:

\t\tOr else I\u2019m running from a mob of people, and for some
\t\treason the whole world hates me.

Panel 7:

\t\tOr, the usual, where I\u2019m falling. I\u2019m in a roller coaster,
\t\tand suddenly I\u2019m falling.

Panel 8:

\t\tI\u2019m climbing up a cliff face but then the limestone crumbles
\t\tunder my fingers and then I\u2019m falling.

Panel 9:

\t\tLately, though, I\u2019ve been having wonderful dreams. Sometimes
\t\tit\u2019s normal stuff, like flying, or I have magical powers.

Panel 10:

\t\tYou know.

Panel 11:

\t\tOr maybe the dream is my video reaching a billion views on
\t\tYouTube, that sort of thing\u2026

Panel 12:

\t\tAnd then there are the dreams where my crush confesses she\u2019s
\t\tfalling in love with me.

\t\tOr my parents and I get along and trust and love each other.

Panel 13:

\t\tAnd those are the worst dreams of all.

Panel 14:

\t\tBecause nightmares are scary, they can make you a little
\t\thesitant to climb back into bed every night.

Panel 15:

\t\tBut maybe there\u2019s some meaning to it?

\t\tMaybe you can learn something from those kinds of dreams?

Panel 16:

\t\t\u2026Sometimes you can.

Panel 17:

\t\tBut these sugarplums dancing over my head \u2014 they make me
\t\thate my *waking life*.
