Formulas Required

  • Auto-increment Task ID: =IF(A2="", MAX($A$1:$A$100)+1, A2) (with proper array handling in newer versions).
  • Last Updated By: =IF(LEN(E2)>0, USERNAME(), "") — uses Excel’s built-in USERNAME().
  • Last Update Date: =TODAY(), updated automatically when cell is edited.
  • Status Color Indicator: Used in conditional formatting based on Status column.

Conditional Formatting Rules
