Formula Requirements

The template leverages several critical formulas:

  • In the Daily Planner, column Status uses data validation linked to a named range in the Content Types Library.
  • =TODAY() in cell A2 auto-populates today’s date for quick access.
  • =IF([@Status]="Published",1,0) – Used to count published items daily in the dashboard.
  • =SUMIF([Owner], "John Doe", [Actual Time]) – Calculates individual team member productivity.
  • =NETWORKDAYS([Date], [Publish Date]) – Measures lead time from creation to publication.
  • =AVERAGEIFS([Actual Time], [Status],"Published") – Computes average time per published asset.

Conditional Formatting Rules

To enhance visual scanning, conditional formatting is applied:

  • Status = "High Priority": Row highlighted in red (#f8d7da).
  • Status = "Published": Background tinted green (#d4edda).
  • Actual Time > Estimated Time: Text color changed to orange (indicates overruns).
  • Date is Today: Bold border around entire row.
  • Publish Date in past, Status ≠ "Published": Row flashes with red background and white text – urgent alert.

Instructions for the User

To use this template effectively:

  1. Open the workbook and enable macros if prompted (for dynamic calendar updates).
  2. In “Team Assignments,” populate your team members’ names and roles.
  3. Each morning, update the “Daily Planner” with new tasks, statuses, and time logs.
