Conditional Formatting Rules
- In the Content Calendar: Highlight rows with “Published” status in green, “Recorded” in yellow, and “Draft” in red.
- In the Payroll Tracker: Apply light blue fill to rows where Paid? = "Yes" (from Content Calendar) and Net Income > 0.
- In Expense Log: Highlight any expense over $100 in orange to flag high-cost items for review.
- In Earnings Summary: If Net Profit is negative, change the cell color to red with bold text. If it exceeds $500, turn green.
Instructions for the User
- Start with Content Calendar: Plan your content at least 30 days in advance. Estimate potential earnings per piece based on historical data or platform averages (e.g., YouTube: $3–$8 per 1k views).
- Update Payroll Tracker: As soon as you receive payment, log it with the date, platform, and content reference. Always include taxes withheld — even if self-paid later.
- Log All Expenses: Keep receipts. Track every software subscription (Canva Pro, Adobe), microphone purchase, or ad spend. This affects your real profitability.
- Weekly Review: Every Sunday, check the Dashboard to see if your content output correlates with earnings. Are videos paying more than blog posts? Adjust your strategy.
- Monthly Analysis: At month-end, use the Earnings Summary to calculate ROI per content type. If podcast episodes take 10 hours but only earn $20, consider reallocating time.
