Conditional Formatting Rules
- Product_Inventory: Status Column: Red fill for "Out of Stock", Amber for "Low Stock", Green for "In Stock", Gray for "Discontinued".
- Content_Calendar: Inventory_Status_at_Publish: Highlight cells in red if value ≠ “In Stock” when Content_Type is “Email Newsletter” — to prevent promoting unavailable products.
- Content_Calendar: Date_Planned: Yellow highlight for dates within 7 days of today to prioritize upcoming deadlines.
User Instructions
How to Use This Template Version:
- Update the Product_Inventory sheet daily or weekly with current stock levels and incoming shipments.
- Add upcoming promotions in the Next_Promotion_Date column — this will trigger “Upcoming Launch” status and auto-flag “Content_Needed?” as TRUE.
- In Content_Calendar, select products from the SKU dropdown. The template will automatically populate inventory status at time of scheduling.
- Review the Inventory_Status summary sheet weekly to identify products requiring content urgency.
- If a product becomes “Out of Stock,” immediately review linked content in Content_Calendar and update its status to “Deferred.”
- The Dashboards tab updates automatically — share with marketing leads for quick decision-making.
