  • In column “Total Cost by Type”: On the Dashboard sheet, use: =SUMIFS(SupplyList[Cost ($)], SupplyList[Type], "Video") to aggregate spending per content type.
  • In “Overdue Count”: =COUNTIFS(SupplyList[Due Date], "<"&TODAY(), SupplyList[Status], "<>Published") — Counts overdue items not yet published.

Conditional Formatting

To enhance visibility in the Compact Design:

  • Overdue Items (Red): Apply to “Due Date” column: =AND([@[Due Date]]<TODAY(), [@Status]<>"Published")
  • High Cost Items (Yellow): Apply to “Cost ($)”: =[@[Cost ($)]]>100
  • Purchased Status (Green): Apply to “Purchased?”: =[@[Purchased?]]="Yes"
  • Unassigned Items (Gray): Apply to “Content Topic”: =[@[Content Topic]]="" OR [@Type]="Not Started"

User Instructions

To use this template:

  1. Open the Supply List sheet. Begin by filling in your content topics and planned dates.
  2. Use dropdowns for Type, Platform, Status, and Purchased? — they prevent entry errors.
  3. Add required supplies as bullet points in the “Required Supplies” column. Keep descriptions concise to maintain compactness.
  4. Update status daily. Mark items as “In Progress,” then “Published.” The Dashboard auto-updates with these changes.
  5. Check the Dashboards sheet weekly for spending trends and overdue items. Use filters to view data by platform or content type.
  6. To add new entries, simply press Tab at the bottom row — Excel’s structured table will auto-expand.
  7. Do not delete rows! This breaks formulas. Instead, clear cell contents if a task is canceled.
