Formulas Required

  • In the Weekly Planner, the "Date" column uses: =IF(B2="","",(Start_Date + ROW()-2)) to auto-generate dates for a week.
  • Status color-coding is driven by: =IF([@Status]="Published",1,IF([@Status]="Scheduled for Publishing",0.8,0.5)) to power conditional formatting.
  • Total estimated time per week: =SUM([Estimated Time]) displayed in the Goals & Reflections sheet.
  • Count of published items: =COUNTIFS(ContentLibrary[Published Date],">="&TODAY()-7,ContentLibrary[Published Date],"<="&TODAY())
  • Weekly completion rate: =COUNTIFS([Status],"Published")/COUNTA([Status]) (rounded to percentage).

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • Status Column: Green for “Published”, Blue for “Scheduled”, Yellow for “Drafting”, Red for “Idea”.
  • Priority Column: Red background for "High", Orange for "Medium", Light Gray for "Low".
  • Date Row Headers: Highlight weekends (Sat, Sun) with a light purple fill to distinguish personal time.
  • Total Time Spent: If >300 minutes in a week, background turns orange as a gentle nudge for sustainability.

Instructions for the User

To get started, open the template and enter your desired start date (e.g., next Monday) in cell B1 of the “Weekly Planner” sheet. The entire week’s dates will auto-fill. Begin populating each row with your planned content using dropdown menus to maintain consistency. Update the status daily—this creates a living journal of productivity.

At the end of each week, visit the “Goals & Reflections” sheet to answer three questions: What worked?, What felt overwhelming?, and What will I improve next week?

To build your Content Library, copy completed content entries from Weekly Planner to Content Library. This becomes your personal archive for repurposing and analytics.

The Trend Tracker sheet is optional but highly recommended: input 2–3 metrics weekly (e.g., total posts, average engagement rate) to see patterns over months. You’ll begin noticing which days or formats perform best—crucial insight for long-term content strategy.
