Duration (Minutes) Numerical (Calculated) Automatically calculated as End Time - Start Time.
Progress Notes Text (up to 100 characters) Mandatory field: brief summary of what was achieved during the session.

Goals & Schedule Table

This sheet helps users structure their academic planning by defining measurable objectives:

Column Name Data Type Description
Goal ID Numerical (Auto-generated) Unique identifier for each goal.
Goal Description Text (up to 150 characters) E.g., "Complete all biology unit 3 homework by May 15."
Target Date Date (YYYY-MM-DD) Deadline for achieving the goal.
Status Dropdown: Not Started / In Progress / Completed / Delayed Track progress with color-coded indicators.
Estimated Effort (hours) Numerical (Decimal) Planned time commitment in hours.
Actual Effort (hours) Numerical (Calculated - Auto-filled from Daily Log) Total duration of sessions linked to this goal.

Formulas Required

  • Duration Calculation: In the "Duration (Minutes)" column: =IF(End_Time<>"", (End_Time - Start_Time)*1440, 0) *(Converts time difference to minutes; 1440 = minutes in a day)*
  • Sum of Duration by Subject: In the Overview Dashboard: =SUMIF(Daily_Log!B:B, "Mathematics", Daily_Log!G:G) *(Sums all durations where Subject = "Mathematics")*
  • Goal Progress Percentage: In the Goals & Schedule sheet: =IF(Actual_Effort=0, 0%, MIN(1, Actual_Effort / Estimated_Effort))
  • Daily Total Hours: In Overview Dashboard: =SUMIFS(Daily_Log!G:G, Daily_Log!A:A, TODAY()) / 60 *(Calculates total hours spent today)*

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • Past Due Goals: Apply red fill to any goal where Target Date is before today and Status is not "Completed".
  • Daily Session Duration > 90 minutes: Highlight sessions exceeding 90 minutes with yellow background—encouraging breaks.
  • Progress Bars (in Dashboard): Use data bars in the "Progress" column to visualize how close each goal is to completion.
  • Overdue Sessions: If a session's date is older than 7 days, apply light gray shading for visual distinction.
