Formulas Required
To automate tracking and analysis, the following formulas are implemented:
- Status Color Indicator: Use conditional formatting with IF statements to change cell colors based on status (e.g., red for "On Hold", green for "Completed").
- Days Until Due: Formula in a new column:
=IF(Target Completion Date <> "", Target Completion Date - TODAY(), ""). This shows how many days remain before the deadline. - Overdue Flag: Formula:
=IF(AND(Status<>"Completed", Target Completion Date < TODAY()), "Yes", "No"). Highlights tasks that are overdue and not yet finished. - Total Estimated Effort: In the Progress Tracker sheet:
=SUMIF('Growth Goals & Tasks'!C:C, "High", 'Growth Goals & Tasks'!F:F)to sum efforts by prioritization level. - Completion Rate: Formula:
=COUNTIF('Growth Goals & Tasks'!H:H, "Completed") / COUNTA('Growth Goals & Tasks'!H:H). Provides a percentage of tasks completed.
Conditional Formatting
To enhance readability and visual impact, the following rules are applied:
- Overdue Tasks: If the "Days Until Due" is negative, highlight the entire row in bright red.
- Prioritization Level: Apply color coding: Red for "High", Yellow for "Medium", Green for "Low".
- Status Indicator: Use green checkmarks (via icon sets) for "Completed", yellow exclamation marks for "In Progress", and gray dots or question marks for others.
- Budget Thresholds: Highlight any budget entry over $5,000 in orange to flag high-cost initiatives.
