Table Structures & Columns

Daily Habit Tracker (Main Sheet)

This sheet serves as the core of the template, where users record their daily financial habits. It is structured as a simple table with the following columns:

Column Data Type Description

Habit Streak Count Number (Auto-calculated) Total consecutive days this user completed at least 3 out of 4 habits.

Budget Overview

This summary sheet pulls data from the Daily Tracker to display monthly trends and financial targets.

Column Data Type Description
Month & Year (e.g., Jan 2024) Text/Date User can select the month to analyze.
Total Savings Number (Auto-calculated) SUM of all "Savings Goal" entries for the month.
Avg Daily Savings Number (Auto-calculated) Total Savings / Number of days in the month.
Budget Compliance Rate (%) Percentage (Auto-calculated) (Number of "Yes" entries in Budget Adherence / Total days) × 100.
Debt Payment Success Rate (%) Percentage (Auto-calculated) (Number of "Yes" entries in Debt Payment / Total days) × 100.

Formulas Required

  • Habit Streak Count (DHT!F2): =IF(AND(E2="Yes", F2="Yes", G2="Yes"), H1 + 1, IF(OR(E2<>"Yes", F2<>"Yes", G2<>"Yes"), 0, H1)) This formula checks if at least three habits were completed in a day and builds a streak counter.
  • Total Savings (BO!B3): =SUMIF(DHT!A:A, "Jan 2024", DHT!B:B) Filters savings entries by month for the Budget Overview.
  • Budget Compliance Rate (BO!D3): =COUNTIF(DHT!I:I, "Yes") / COUNTA(DHT!I:I) * 100 Calculates the percentage of days where budget was followed.

Conditional Formatting

To visually reinforce positive habits and highlight areas for improvement:

  • Habit Streak Counter: If value is 7 or more, highlight cell green (indicating a strong habit streak).
  • Budget Compliance Rate: Use color scales: green for ≥80%, yellow for 60–79%, red for below 60%.
  • Daily Tracker Cells: Format “Yes” entries in green, “No” entries in red.
