2. Dashboard (Summary & Visualization)

This sheet provides an executive-level view of KPIs, time allocation, and performance trends using dynamic charts and summary statistics. Data is pulled automatically from the "Time Entries" sheet via formulas.

Formulas Required

The following formulas ensure dynamic data aggregation and real-time reporting:

  • Sum of Billable Hours by Department:
    =SUMIFS('Time Entries'!$F:$F, 'Time Entries'!$C:$C, A2)
    (Where A2 contains department name)
  • KPI Achievement Rate:
    =IFERROR((COUNTIF('Time Entries'!$E:$E, "Completed") / COUNTA('Time Entries'!$E:$E)), 0)
  • Weekly Total Hours (by Employee):
    =SUMIFS('Time Entries'!$F:$F, 'Time Entries'!$B:$B, E2, 'Time Entries'!$A:$A, ">= "&G1, 'Time Entries'!$A:$A, "<= "&G7)
    (Using date range in G1:G7 for the week)
  • Rolling 30-Day Average KPI Score:
    =AVERAGEIFS('KPI Scores'!$C:$C, 'KPI Scores'!$A:$A, ">="&TODAY()-30)

Conditional Formatting

To enhance readability and highlight key data points:

  • Overdue Tasks: Highlight rows where Status = "In Progress" but Date is older than today + 5 days.
  • KPI Targets Met: Green background for KPI Achievement Rate ≥ 90%.
  • High Billable Hours: Yellow fill for entries with >8 hours in a day (flagging potential overtime).
  • Daily Totals: Color scale on total hours per day (from low to high usage).
