- Budgeted Amount ($): Numeric input by user
- Spent So Far ($): Auto-calculated from Expense Tracker using SUMIFS()
- Remaining ($): =Budgeted - Spent So Far
- % Utilized: =Spent / Budgeted * 100 (formatted as percentage)
Results Log Sheet (Performance Tracking)
Links campaign outcomes to expenses. Columns:
- Date: When result was recorded.
- Related Expense ID: Auto-number matching row in Expense Tracker.
- Channel: Matches expense channel (for linking)
- KPI Type: Dropdown – Leads, Website Visits, Conversions, Sales, Engagements

- Status Column: Green for “Paid,” Red for “Refunded,” Gray for “Pending.”
- Dashboard KPIs: Arrows (↑↓) shown next to monthly ROI changes using icon sets.
User Instructions
Step 1: Open the template and enter your total annual marketing budget in cell B1 on the Dashboard. The Budget Planner will auto-split this across months if desired.
Step 2: Each time you spend money on marketing, fill out one row in Expense Tracker. Be specific with descriptions (e.g., “Facebook Ad - Summer Sale - June”)
Step 3: Once a campaign delivers results (clicks, sales, etc.), log it in Results Log, referencing the expense’s row number.
Step 4: Weekly, check the Dashboard for visual summaries. Are you overspending on Instagram? Is your email ROI higher than social ads? Adjust next month’s budget accordingly.
