One Page Gantt Chart Excel Template for Marketing Plan

This comprehensive One Page Gantt Chart Excel Template for Marketing Plan is designed to provide marketing professionals with a clean, intuitive, and visually compelling tool to plan, track, and manage all aspects of a marketing campaign in a single view. Unlike traditional multi-sheet project trackers that clutter the workspace, this template consolidates every critical element—tasks, timelines, owners, status updates—into one cohesive visual canvas. Whether you’re managing a product launch campaign across digital channels or coordinating seasonal promotions with sales and PR teams, this template empowers you to align resources and deadlines dynamically.

Sheet Names

The entire template consists of only one sheet: "Marketing Plan - Gantt Chart". This “One Page” philosophy eliminates unnecessary navigation, ensures real-time visibility across all campaign elements, and prevents version control errors. All data input, formulas, conditional formatting, and charting are contained within this single worksheet.

Table Structures

The template features a structured table beginning at cell A1 with the following columns:

Name or team responsible (e.g., Social Media, Content, Design).
Planned start date for the task.
Planned end date for the task.
Auto-calculated as =E-D+1. Reflects total duration in days.
Select from “Not Started,” “In Progress,” “On Hold,” “Completed.”
Select from “High,” “Medium,” “Low.”
Dynamic horizontal bar that visually represents task duration.
User-input percentage indicating task completion.
Column Data Type Description
A: Task IDNumber (Integer)Unique identifier for each marketing activity (e.g., 1, 2, 3…).
B: Task NameTextDescription of the marketing task (e.g., “Launch Instagram Ad Campaign”).
C: Department/OwnerText
D: Start DateDate
E: End DateDate
F: Duration (Days)Number (Calculated)
G: StatusText (Dropdown)
H: PriorityText (Dropdown)
I: Gantt Bar (Visual)Conditional Formatting / Bar Chart Simulation
J: Progress %Number (0–100)

Formulas Required

  • Duration (Column F): =E2-D2+1 — calculates total days between start and end, inclusive.
  • Gantt Bar Simulation: Uses a combination of REPT() function and conditional formatting. In column I, enter: =REPT("█",J2/100*F2). This creates a visual bar proportional to progress and duration.
  • Current Date Marker: Cell Z1 contains =TODAY(). Column K uses conditional formatting to highlight any task whose start date is ≤ TODAY() and end date ≥ TODAY() as “Active.”
  • Deadline Alert: Column L: =IF(AND(E2"Completed"),"OVERDUE",""). Flags overdue tasks.

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • Gantt Bar Color Coding: Bars are colored based on Priority: High = Red, Medium = Orange, Low = Green.
  • Status Indicators: Cells in column G auto-color: “Completed” → Light Green; “In Progress” → Light Blue; “On Hold” → Yellow; “Not Started” → Gray.
  • Overdue Tasks: Row background turns red if column L contains "OVERDUE".
  • Active Task Highlight: Any row where current date falls between Start and End dates is shaded with a soft yellow tint.

Recommended Charts or Dashboards

Although this is a “One Page” template, two embedded dynamic charts are recommended for executive summaries:

  • Task Status Pie Chart: Placed at the top-right corner. Pulls data from column G to display percentage of tasks completed vs. in progress.
  • Timeline Overview Bar Chart (Horizontal): Below the main table, a clustered bar chart visualizes each task as a horizontal segment with color-coded priority and progress overlay.

This One Page Gantt Chart Excel Template for Marketing Plan transforms complex campaign scheduling into an intuitive, actionable dashboard. It eliminates information overload while preserving full visibility. Designed for speed, simplicity, and clarity, it’s ideal for marketing teams who need to communicate progress to stakeholders in minutes—not hours.

By combining structured data entry with visual Gantt chart logic on a single sheet, this template embodies the modern marketing workflow: agile, transparent, and outcome-driven. Save time. Reduce confusion. Launch smarter.
