Budget & ROI Sheet

Calculates Return on Investment using simple formula:

=IF(BudgetSpent>0, (RevenueGenerated - BudgetSpent) / BudgetSpent * 100, 0)

Content Calendar Sheet

A monthly grid with columns: Date, Platform (Instagram, Email, Blog), Content Type, Status (Draft/Approved/Published), and Notes.

Formulas Required

  • Total Cost ($) in Inventory Sheet: =Quantity * Cost Per Unit
  • ROI (%) in Dashboard: Based on sum of Budget Spent vs. Revenue Generated (manually entered)
  • Status Auto-Update: Uses formula to flag expired items if today's date > Expiry Date and Status = "Active" → change to "Expired"
  • Upcoming Deadlines: Uses COUNTIFS to count campaigns ending within next 7 days.

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • If “Status” = Expired → Row background: Light Red (#ffcccc)
  • If “Budget Spent” > 90% of “Budget Allocated” → Cell: Yellow Fill
  • If “Achieved” > "Goal" in Campaign Tracker → Green Text & Bold
  • If today’s date is within 7 days of Expiry Date → Orange Highlight on Expiry Date cell.

Instructions for the User

  1. Start by entering your marketing assets under “Marketing Inventory.” Assign each to a campaign in “Campaign Tracker.”
  2. Update “Campaign Tracker” with goals and actual results weekly.
  3. Log content releases on the Content Calendar.
  4. Enter revenue generated (manually) on the Budget & ROI sheet. This can be from sales, sign-ups, etc.
  5. The Dashboard auto-updates daily based on your entries. Review it every Friday.
  6. When an asset expires or is used up, change its Status to “Expired” or “Used.”

  • Pie Chart: Inventory Distribution by Asset Type (e.g., 40% digital, 30% print, etc.)
  • Bar Chart: Budget Allocation vs. Actual Spend per Campaign.
  • Line Graph: Monthly ROI trend over the last six months.
