Budget Allocation Sheet

This sheet allocates monthly spend across marketing channels. Columns include:

  • Monthly Budget ($): Fixed allocation by user.
  • Cumulative Spend ($): Sum of actuals from Campaign Tracker via SUMIFS.
  • Budget Variance ($): =Monthly Budget - Cumulative Spend (conditional formatting applied).

Formulas Required

  • =SUMIFS(BudgetTracker!F:F, BudgetTracker!E:E, A2) — Pulls total spend for each channel.
  • =IFERROR(I2/H2,"N/A") — Calculates CPL safely to avoid #DIV/0 errors.
  • =IF(J2>5, "High ROI", IF(J2>3, "Medium ROI", "Low ROI")) — Classifies campaign efficiency.
  • =SUM(BudgetAllocation!C:C) — Total monthly spend across all channels.
  • =IF(NOW()>End_Date, "Past Due", IF(TODAY()<=Start_Date, "Upcoming", "Active")) — Dynamic campaign status indicator (in helper column).

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • Budget Variance: Red if negative (< 0), green if > $500 over budget, amber if between -$50 and $50.
  • CPL: Red if > $15, amber if $8–$14, green if ≤$7.
  • ROAS: Green for ROAS ≥ 4.0, yellow for 2–3.99, red below 2.0.
  • Status: Yellow fill if “Delayed”, gray if “Canceled”, blue if “Planned”.
