Formulas Required

  • In the Product Inventory sheet, the column "Projected Sales (Next 30 Days)" uses: =IF([@Promoted?]="Yes", VLOOKUP([@Marketing Campaign ID], MarketingCampaigns!A:F, 6, FALSE)*0.4, MAX(10,[@Current Stock]*0.1)) This assumes promoted items see a 40% sales uplift from baseline (estimated at 10% of current stock).
  • Column "Stock Status" (added manually by user or via formula): =IF([@Current Stock]<=[@Safety Stock Level],"LOW STOCK","OK")
  • In the Dashboard sheet, total marketing spend: =SUM(MarketingCampaigns!F:F)
  • Inventory value total: =SUMPRODUCT(ProductInventory!G:G, ProductInventory!H:H) (Unit Cost × Current Stock)

Conditional Formatting

  • Stock Status: Red fill if “LOW STOCK”, green if “OK”.
  • Budget Usage: In Campaigns sheet, color code budget spent as % of total — amber for 75-90%, red for >90%.
  • Promoted Products: Light yellow background on rows where “Promoted?” is "Yes".
  • End Date Proximity: Highlight campaign rows in orange if end date is within 7 days.

  2. Budget Allocation Pie Chart: Displays percentage of total marketing spend per channel (Email, Social, PPC).
  3. Projected Sales Trend Line: Compares historical sales with projected sales for promoted products over the next 30 days. Helps forecast revenue and inventory needs.

This Simple Marketing Plan Product Inventory template bridges marketing strategy with operational reality.
