Campaign Tracker Sheet

This sheet links each campaign to its goals and budget:

  • Campaign ID (Primary Key)
  • Campaign Name
  • Start Date & End Date (Date)

Budget & Spend Sheet

This sheet calculates cumulative daily spend:

  • Channel (Dropdown)
  • Daily Spend ($)

Formulas Required

  • Daily Log!Status Count: COUNTIFS to count "Completed" tasks per day.
  • Budget Utilization %: Sum of daily spend / total budget * 100.
  • Campaign Progress %: SUMIF(Completed Tasks for Campaign ID) / Total Tasks in Campaign Tracker.
  • Daily KPI Summary (Marketing Plan Overview): AVERAGEIFS, SUMIFS to calculate average CTR, total clicks per day.
  • Conditional Alerts: IF(BudgetUtilization% > 90%, "WARNING: Budget Exceeding 90%", "OK").

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • Date Column: Highlight weekends in light gray.
  • Status Column: Green = Completed, Amber = In Progress, Red = Delayed.
  • Budget Spent Column: Red fill if >90% of daily channel budget allocated; yellow if 70-89%.
  • Campaign Status: Blue background for "Active" campaigns with no updates in last 24 hours.

User Instructions

  1. Each morning, open the template and update the Daily Log. Input all marketing activities completed yesterday or today.
  2. Select from dropdown menus for Activity Type, Status, Channel, and Owner to ensure data consistency.
  3. Update daily budget spend in column J. This auto-populates Budget & Spend Sheet and Dashboards.
  4. Review the Marketing Plan Overview sheet for daily KPI summaries and budget utilization alerts.
  5. If a campaign is delayed or over-budget, add notes in the Notes column — this triggers visual flags on Dashboards.
  6. Update Campaign Tracker when starting or pausing new campaigns. This affects all linked calculations.
  7. At week’s end, export the Dashboard sheet as PDF for stakeholder reporting.
