Formulas Required
- In the Budget & Expenses Sheet: =SUMIF(Marketing Campaigns!F:F, “LinkedIn”, Marketing Campaigns!G:G) — to total spend per channel.
- In the Conversion Dashboard: =COUNTIFS(Sales Log!F:F, A2)/SUM(Marketing Campaigns!H:H) — calculates conversion rate for a specific campaign (A2 = Campaign ID).
- In the Summary Report: =SUMIFS(Sales Log!E:E, Sales Log!F:F, “<>”) — sums total sales from tracked campaigns.
- In the Sales Log Sheet: A formula auto-fills “Campaign Source” using VLOOKUP or XLOOKUP to match client acquisition to campaign ID for accurate attribution.
Conditional Formatting
- If Actual Spend > Budget in Marketing Campaigns → cell turns red with warning icon.
- If Sale Amount > $1,000 in Sales Log → green highlight for top-tier clients.
- Status = “Failed” or “Canceled” in either sheet → grayed-out text for easy identification.
- Conversion rate below 5% → amber background to flag underperforming campaigns.
Instructions for the User
This template is designed for ease of use. Begin by entering your marketing campaigns in the “Marketing Campaigns” tab, including budget and channel. After each client closes a sale, log it in “Sales Log” — and always select the matching Campaign ID from the dropdown to attribute revenue accurately. Update weekly: record actual spend, add new leads or sales, and review conversion rates on the Dashboard. Use the “Summary Report” at least once a month to assess which channels are driving your highest ROI. Do NOT manually edit formulas or charts — they auto-update based on input data.
