Formulas Required

  • Status Color Coding (conditional logic): Formulas in conditional formatting determine color based on status.
  • Missing/Invalid Data Alerts: Use =IF(ISBLANK([@Serial Number]), "⚠️ Missing", "") to flag incomplete entries.
  • Total Assigned Assets per Employee: Use COUNTIFS(Employee Asset Register[Employee ID], EmployeeID).

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • Status Column:
    • Active: Green background with white text.
    • In Repair: Orange background.
    • Late for Maintenance: Red if "Next Due Maintenance" is in the past and status is still "Active".
  • Warranty Expiry: Highlight rows where warranty expires within 30 days (using date comparison).
  • Overdue Maintenance: Automatically flags if "Next Due Maintenance" is past today’s date and status isn’t updated.

User Instructions for the Employee View

  1. Open the template in Microsoft Excel (recommended: 2016 or later).
