This table is the foundation of the daily planner. It uses structured Excel tables for scalability, filtering, and formula integration.

Conditional Formatting
To enhance visual clarity and urgency, the following rules are applied:
- Overdue Tasks: Red fill with bold text for rows where Date < TODAY() and Status ≠ “Completed”.
- High/Critical Priority: Orange background for High priority; red for Critical priority.
- Status Indicators: Green checkmark emoji (✔) in Status column when “Completed”; grey circle (○) otherwise.
- Daily Log Highlighting: Yellow fill for today’s date entries.
Instructions for the User
- Open the template and enable macros if prompted (required for dynamic date updates).
- Navigate to the Daily Log sheet. Enter tasks or events in each row using correct data types.
- Select a date from the drop-down calendar (available via Data Validation).
- Use dropdowns for Type, Status, Priority, Department, and Assigned To to maintain consistency.
- The Duration column auto-calculates based on Start and End Time.
- Switch to the Summary Dashboard. All metrics update in real time based on Daily Log entries.
- To export or print, use the built-in print area or create a snapshot of the dashboard.
- Update daily at start of day to reflect planned activities and end-of-day to record completions.
