Suggested Sheet Names and Structure

1. Daily Summary Dashboard (Main): The central hub displaying KPIs, trends, and visualizations.
2. Production Logs: Tracks output per shift, machine uptime, defects, and labor hours.


3. Sales & Order Tracking: Records daily sales volume, order fulfillment rates, returns data.


4. Customer Service Metrics: Logs support tickets opened/closed, average resolution time, customer satisfaction scores.


5. Data Input Form (Daily): A simplified input form for users to enter daily data quickly with validation.

Table Structures and Column Definitions

• Daily Summary Dashboard:
• Headers: Date, Total Orders, Fulfilled Orders (%), Average Resolution Time (min), Production Output (units), Defect Rate (%), On-Time Delivery (%)
• Data Type: Dates for 'Date' column; numbers for metrics; percentage formatting applied to % fields.


• Production Logs:
• Columns: Date, Shift (AM/PM), Machine ID, Planned Output, Actual Output, Uptime (%) , Defect Count, Labor Hours
• Data Types: Date; Text (Shift); Text/Machine ID; Numbers for output and hours; percentages for uptime.


• Sales & Order Tracking:
• Columns: Date, Sales Rep, Order ID, Product Category, Units Sold, Total Revenue ($), Delivery Status (On-time/Delayed), Return Reason
• Data Types: Date; Text for rep and ID; categorical for product and delivery status.


• Customer Service Metrics:
• Columns: Date, Ticket ID, Customer Name, Issue Category (Billing/Technical/Shipping), Opened At (Time), Closed At (Time), Resolution Time (min), CSAT Score
• Data Types: Date; Text; Time fields formatted as HH:MM; numeric for resolution time and scores.


• Data Input Form:

• Daily Summary Dashboard (Cell B5):

• Data Validation Rules:
  Use Data Validation for columns like "Shift" (allow list: AM, PM), "Delivery Status" (On-time/Delayed), and ensure date range is current day.

Conditional Formatting

• Defect Rate: If > 5%, color cell red; 3–5% = yellow; ≤ 3% = green.
• On-Time Delivery %: Less than 90% → red; between 90–95% → yellow; ≥95% → green.
• Average Resolution Time: Over 120 minutes → red; above 60 minutes → yellow.
• Production Output: Actual output below planned by more than 10% → red text and background.

User Instructions

To use this Daily Operations Dashboard – Business Template:

1. Open the file on a desktop (Excel 365 recommended).
2. Go to the "Data Input Form (Daily)" tab and enter data for today’s operations.
3. Fill in all mandatory fields: Date, Shift, Machine ID, Output metrics.
4. Use dropdowns where available to maintain consistency.
5. Click “Save Daily” button (if macro-enabled) or press Ctrl+Shift+S to store the record.
6. Navigate to "Daily Summary Dashboard" for real-time performance insights.
7. Review conditional formatting indicators for immediate alerts.
8. Export dashboard as PDF at the end of day for stakeholder reports (recommended).
