User Instructions

Enter new assets only in the Asset Register. Use Data Validation drop-downs for category, status, and funding source.
Assign each asset to a research project using the Project-Asset Mapping sheet. Do not edit Asset IDs manually.
Update the Maintenance Log after every service event – include date, technician, cost incurred, and next due date.
The Dashboard auto-updates with all linked data. Refresh PivotTables via Data > Refresh All if changes appear delayed.
Export the Status Reports sheet monthly for institutional reviews or grant compliance audits. PDF export is recommended.
Never delete rows in any table – mark assets as “Retired” instead.
