Conditional Formatting Rules
- If Project Net Balance < 0 → Red highlight.
- If Status = “Overdue” and Expected Revenue Date < TODAY() → Bold red text.
- If Income Type = “Grant Payment” → Blue background to distinguish funding sources.
- Any Expense with Category = “Travel (Research)” → Orange highlight for budget control awareness.
Instructions for the User
How to Use:1. Enter your research project details in the Research Projects sheet with accurate Project IDs.
2. Log every income and expense in Cash Flow Tracker, always linking it to a Project ID.
3. Use the Expenses & Costs sheet to schedule recurring outflows (e.g., software subscriptions).
4. The Dashboard auto-updates with net cash position, projected shortfall, and income vs expense trends.
5. Update the Status column weekly to track payment delays — this triggers alerts on the dashboard.
6. Never leave “Description” blank; always include invoice number or funder reference for auditability.
