User Instructions
To use this template effectively:
- Populate the Equipment_Master sheet with all permanent equipment before weekly logging begins.
- Each Monday, open the Weekly_Log and enter new entries for all monitored equipment. Do not delete existing rows.
- Select Equipment_ID from dropdowns to ensure data integrity and automatic lookups.
- Update Status_Update if any equipment is damaged, calibrated, or missing. Use Maintenance_Performed field to record corrective actions.
- The Dashboard automatically updates — review KPIs on downtime rates, maintenance backlog, and utilization trends weekly during lab meetings.
- Export the Dashboard as PDF at week’s end for submission to Research Management oversight committees.
