  • Average Cognitive Focus Score.
  • Weekly trend line chart: Focus Score vs. Hours Worked.

Formulas Required

  • Date Auto-fill: =TODAY()-WEEKDAY(TODAY(),2)+1 in cell A3, then increment by 1 for each row.
  • Day Text: =TEXT(A3,"ddd") in column B.
  • Balanced Meal Indicator: In column J: =IF(AND(COUNTIF(C3:E3,"*protein*")>=1,COUNTIF(C3:E3,"*vegetable*")>=1,COUNTIF(C3:E3,"*whole grain*")>=1),"Balanced","Needs Improvement").
  • Average Focus Score: =AVERAGE(Main Meal Planner!I:I) on the Dashboard.
  • Weekly Trend Chart Data: Use VLOOKUP to pull "Hours Worked" from Research Log and "Cognitive Focus Score" from Main Meal Planner into a side table for charting.

Conditional Formatting

  • Cells in column I (Cognitive Focus Score) turn green if ≥4, yellow if 3, red if ≤2.
  • Row highlights in Main Meal Planner turn light blue if "Balanced" is flagged in column J.
  • In Research Log, Hours Worked > 10 triggers a red cell background as a warning for overwork.

Instructions for the User

Begin each Sunday by entering your planned meals for the upcoming week. For each meal, include at least one protein source, one vegetable or fruit, and preferably a complex carbohydrate. After eating, mark “Energized?” and rate your cognitive focus (1–5). Every evening (or morning), log research hours and tasks on the Research Log sheet. The Nutrition Dashboard updates automatically to show trends in your energy vs. productivity. At week’s end, review: Did high-focus days align with balanced meals? Adjust next week’s plan accordingly.
