Formulas Required

Conditional Formatting

• Red Fill: Products with expiry date ≤ 30 days from today.
• Yellow Fill: Quantity On Hand ≤ Min Threshold.
• Grey Text: Items marked as "Inactive" or "On Hold".
• Bold Row: Products linked to active grant projects (filtered via Research Project ID).

Instructions for the User

This template is designed for research administrators, lab managers, and data stewards. Always update the Data Version field in the Metadata sheet before sharing. Never manually edit calculated columns (Total Value, Days Until Expiry). Use drop-downs to select Category or Status to maintain consistency. When adding new products, always assign a unique Product ID using the generator tool on the Metadata sheet. Update Usage Log whenever products are consumed; this automatically reduces inventory counts via VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP functions. Do not delete rows in Inventory Master—mark as “Inactive” instead. All entries must include a Batch Number and Expiry Date for compliance with ISO 13485 or GLP standards.
