Research Management Schedule Planner – Client View Excel Template

The Research Management Schedule Planner – Client View is a professionally designed Microsoft Excel template tailored for research institutions, academic teams, and private R&D organizations that require transparent, client-facing progress tracking. This template serves as a dynamic, visual dashboard that allows clients to monitor the status of ongoing research projects without accessing sensitive internal data. Unlike internal team planners, this “Client View” version focuses exclusively on milestones, deliverables, timelines, and high-level outcomes — presenting information in an intuitive and reassuring manner that builds trust and accountability.

  2. To update progress, only change the "Actual Date" or "Status" fields. The dashboard auto-updates.
  3. Do NOT edit the Status Dashboard sheet — it is read-only for clients. Internal teams use separate sheets.
  4. Update the “Client Visibility Level” column to control which deliverables appear on the Dashboard.
  5. If a milestone is delayed, update the "Target Date" and add a brief note in column "Notes."
  6. Refresh data by pressing F9 if charts do not auto-update.
