User Instructions

Getting Started:

  1. Populate the Team Members sheet with all researchers, their roles (PI, Postdoc, Grad Student, etc.), and contact details.
  2. Add each research task in the Research Tasks sheet. Use the drop-downs for Owner, Category, Priority and Status to maintain consistency.
  3. For dependent tasks (e.g., “Data collection must finish before analysis”), enter the TASK_ID of predecessors in the DEPENDENCIES column.
  4. Update % COMPLETE daily or weekly. The dashboard auto-updates.
  5. Use the Status Reports sheet to generate a PDF-ready monthly summary — simply click "Generate Report" to populate with current data.
  6. Review Task Dashboard weekly for overdue items and bottlenecks.

Note: Do not delete or reorder columns. All formulas and dashboards rely on fixed column positions. To add new tasks, insert rows above row 2 (not below). Always use the provided data validation lists to prevent entry errors.
