CONDITIONAL FORMATTING
To enhance readability and risk detection:- Negative Cash Balance: Highlight in red if “Cash & Cash Equivalents” falls below $0.
- Cash Flow Warning: If total assets are declining for 3 consecutive weeks, highlight the row in amber to flag potential liquidity issues.
- Debt-to-Equity Ratio > 1.0: Display an alert (red border) if liabilities exceed equity. Formula:
=G8/J6. - Retained Earnings Declining: Use color scales to show trend lines over time.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER
- Week Start Date: Enter the week ending date in cell A3 (e.g., 15/04/2024). Use Excel’s date picker for consistency.
- Update Weekly: At the end of each week, input all new financial data from bank statements, invoices, and receipts into the “Weekly Transactions Log” sheet.
- Auto-Populate: The main Balance Sheet will automatically pull data via formulas. Ensure that any manual edits to asset/liability values are accurate.
