Conditional Formatting

  • Red Background: Applied to “Status” column if “Pending” and due date has passed.
  • Yellow Background: Applied to tasks with deadline within 3 days and not completed.
  • Green Background: Applies when “Completed?” is checked in the Chore Log.
  • Bold Deadline Dates: All deadlines highlighted in bold for visibility.

Instructions for the User

Step 1: At the start of each quarter, enter all planned trips in the “Travel Itinerary” sheet. Include dates, destinations, and travelers.

Step 2: In “Chore Log,” list every task necessary for each trip—both pre-travel (e.g., vaccines) and post-travel (e.g., unpacking laundry).

Step 3: Assign each chore to a specific person using the dropdown menu. Rotate responsibilities fairly.

Step 4: Mark “Completed?” as TRUE when done. The system auto-updates the Dashboard and Summary.

Step 5: Use “Budget Tracker” to log expenses per trip, linking them via Trip ID. Update in real-time during travel.

Step 6: At quarter-end, use “Quarterly Summary” to reflect on what worked and what didn’t. This improves future planning!
