Conditional Formatting

  • In Budget Tracker: Highlight cells in column D (Difference) red if negative (overspend), green if positive.

Instructions for the User

1. Open the workbook and enter your travel dates in the Itinerary sheet. The "Day" column will auto-populate.
2. Fill in estimated costs under each budget category — update Actual Cost as you spend.
3. Add every item you plan to pack to the Packing List, then check “Yes” when packed.
4. Enter at least your hotel, airline, and emergency contact info on the Contact Info sheet — print or save it on your phone.
5. Use the Budget Tracker summary row to monitor overall spending. If you go over budget in a category, adjust future spending accordingly.
