Key Formulas Required

  • =SUMIFS(): Aggregates budget by category across all trips on Dashboard.
  • =COUNTIFS(): Counts active/complete trips for dashboard summary cards.
  • =NETWORKDAYS(): Calculates total travel days excluding weekends (from start/end dates).
  • =VLOOKUP()/XLOOKUP(): Pulls trip status and traveler count from Overview into Dashboard.
  • =IF(AND()): Flags “Over Budget” trips in Dashboard when variance is negative.

Conditional Formatting Rules

  • Budget % > 90% → Red fill
  • Budget % ≤ 80% → Green fill

User Instructions

How to Use:
1. Open the template and enter your Trip Name, Dates, and Travelers on the Trip Overview sheet.
2. Input estimated costs under Budget Tracker by category (use dropdowns).
3. Populate daily activities in Itinerary using time blocks.
4. As you spend money, update "Actual Spent" — the Dashboard will auto-update.
