Formulas Required

  • In the Budget Tracker, the “Actual Spent” column uses: =SUMIFS('Expenses & Receipts'!D:D,'Expenses & Receipts'!B:B,B2)

  • Total trip cost summary in Dashboard: =SUM(BudgetTracker!D:D)
  • Auto-date population in Itinerary using Excel’s TODAY() function with conditional logic.

Conditional Formatting

  • Budget Tracker: Variance > 10% over budget → Red fill; Variance < -10% → Green fill.
  • Itinerary: Status = "Pending" → Yellow highlight; "Cancelled" → Light gray.
  • Expenses Sheet: Amount > $500 with no receipt attached → Red text with warning icon.

User Instructions

  1. Open the template and populate your personal details in the "User Info" box on the Dashboard.

  3. Set initial budget estimates in Budget Tracker before departure.
