Formulas Required

  • =SUMIFS(Expenses!E:E, Expenses!A:A, ">="&Itinerary!A2, Expenses!A:A,"<="&Itinerary!A3) — Calculates daily spending per itinerary date.
  • =IF(ISBLANK([Date]), "", TEXTJOIN(", ", TRUE, FILTER(PackingList[Item], PackingList[Done]="No"))) — Creates a live "Items Left to Pack" summary on the Dashboard.
  • =SUM(Expenses!E:E) - Settings!B2 — Compares total spending against budget (in Settings sheet).
  • =IFERROR(VLOOKUP([Location], Accommodations!A:D, 4, FALSE), "Not Booked") — Pulls hotel phone number into Itinerary for quick reference.
  • =WEEKNUM(A2) — Identifies the week number of travel for sorting and reporting.

Conditional Formatting

  • Itinerary Sheet: Dates marked as "Past" turn gray; upcoming dates highlight in light blue; today’s date is bolded with a yellow background.
  • Expenses Sheet: Amounts exceeding daily budget (defined in Settings) are highlighted red. Category totals over 30% of weekly budget show orange.
  • Packing List: Checked items ("Yes") appear with strikethrough and green text; unchecked remain black.
