Formulas Required

  • Total Estimated Cost: Sum of all Subtotals in the Shopping List sheet, displayed in the Trip Details sheet.
  • Item Count by Category: COUNTIFS function to dynamically count items per category on Categorized Summary.
  • Items Purchased vs. Pending: COUNTIF functions to calculate % complete (Purchased = “Yes”) with formula: =COUNTIF(Purchase Status Range, "Yes")/COUNTA(Purchase Status Range)
  • Budget Tracker: Compares Total Estimated Cost against user-entered Budget in Trip Details sheet using a simple IF formula to display “Within Budget” or “Over Budget.”

Conditional Formatting
