Formulas Required

To enable dynamic tracking and summary features, the following formulas are implemented:

  • Status Count (Summary View):
    =COUNTIF('To-Do Tasks'!F:F,"Completed")
    This formula counts how many tasks are completed in the To-Do list.
  • Overdue Tasks (Summary View):
    =SUMPRODUCT((('To-Do Tasks'!E:E"Completed")))
    Counts tasks with due dates in the past that are not yet completed.
  • Task Completion Percentage (Summary View):
    =IF(COUNTA('To-Do Tasks'!B:B)=0, 0, COUNTIF('To-Do Tasks'!F:F,"Completed") / COUNTA('To-Do Tasks'!B:B))
    Calculates the percentage of completed tasks out of total tasks.
  • Days Until Due (Summary View):
    =IF('To-Do Tasks'!E2="", "", 'To-Do Tasks'!E2 - TODAY())
    Shows how many days are left until a task's due date.

Conditional Formatting Rules

Enhances visual clarity and helps identify critical tasks quickly:

  • Overdue Tasks (Red Highlight): Apply to the entire row where E2 < TODAY() AND F2 ≠ "Completed".
  • High Priority Tasks (Yellow Background): Format rows where column D equals "High".
  • Due in 3 Days or Less (Orange Highlight): Apply to tasks where days until due are ≤ 3.
  • Completed Tasks (Green Text & Strikethrough): Format text color to green and apply strikethrough when status is "Completed".
